Coaching Supervision

I love working with new as well as more established fellow coaches, helping you remain resourced and confident in your practice.

I'm an EMCC Accredited Coach Supervisor (ESIA), offering supervision on a 1:1 and group basis. My supervision clients work as both internal and external coaches.

Why go to supervision?

Supervision is a reflective practice which supports your continued growth and development as a coach. It's an exploratory dialogue which is commonly understood as having three main purposes:

Restorative

Supporting you and your wellbeing. Coaching can be emotionally challenging at times, and supervision is a space where you will feel listened to and supported.

Formative

Continuing to hone your skills as a coach, reflecting on tricky moments with clients, and refining your own approach which sits comfortably with who you want to be in your coaching work.

Normative

Considering together the professional norms and codes of practice which guide our coaching practice, and discussing any ethical dilemmas you encounter.

What happens in supervision?

Typically, you will bring one or more client-related issues to discuss.

For example:

You feel stuck with a client and you want to unlock the way forward

You're unsure about how to hold appropriate boundaries with a client

You're finding it tricky to navigate the 3-way contract with your client and their organization

You're feeling worn out by the demands of your practice

You're noticing a pattern in your coaching which you think is impacting your effectiveness.

Beth is a hugely experienced, insightful and empathetic Supervisor. As someone starting my coaching career, I appreciated Beth’s curious and non-judgemental approach as we explored issues together. She offered helpful challenge but also supported and helped me to develop my insight and encouraged me to follow my instincts. I felt both safety and support in developing my coaching work and am undoubtedly a better coach because of Beth’s supervision.
